A MUSICAL based on a Greek myth, set in a 1930's Department Store. Momus, the store's Floor Walker, will keep you up to date with all the gossip throughout the show, as he moves from LADIES WEAR, through MEN'S WEAR, FOOTWEAR, HEALTH & BEAUTY, CONFECTIONERY, ETC to the SUB-BASEMENT, the home of PLUTO, the god of the UNDERWORLD. It is here that PLUTO takes, PERSEPHONE, the Store Buyer's daughter, where fear will eventually grow into love, for the strange and lonely young man. Meanwhile her mother, Ceres, searches the store in vain to find her and eventually pleads with her ex-husband Zeus, the Store's Managing Director, for help.

This is Side By Side's 19th production, which will be going to the
Edinburgh Fringe in August 2016.

Black Country Community Radio

Hello, you! We're Black Country Radio and we play songs, and talk between them, for your enjoyment! You can catch us your radio on 102.5FM across the Black Country, DAB around Birmingham or around the world here on our website – just click on the Listen Live button at the top of our homepage. Failing that, you can use various apps such as Radioplayer, TuneIn Radio, or the Black Country Radio app...just search for us on the App Store or Play Store!

We broadcast the best mix of music – and we mean mix. From the Stones to Sam Smith and The Drifters to Florence and The Machine, we play a bit of the old with the new sprinkled on top.

You can also hear a huge amount of local music, as well as a choice of over two-dozen specialist music shows each week. From jazz to soul, love songs to classic rock and Northern Soul to urban and many more genres besides.

Most of all, we’re truly LOCAL. We’re not sitting in a studio in London, frantically Googling ‘Dudley’, ‘Halesowen’ and ‘Stourbridge’ to see what’s happening – we can see that out of the window and that’s reflected in the shows. The guests, the presenters, the news, the sport and our passion for local home-made Black Country music sits alongside the best new releases and songs from yesteryear.  We're local radio, MADE in the Black Country.
