Robin Woods Writers

The Robin Woods Writers group was formed in 1988 and takes its name from the Rrobin Woods Centre in Stourbridge where the group originally met. Robin Woods was the then Bishop of Worcester, and very much involved in the change of the use of the building from a school into a community centre for a needy part of Stourbridge.
We are an eclectic group of varied ages and encourage each other to experiment in the writing of prose and verse. We have published several anthologies of our work under the GENIE imprint and individual members have also had worked published. Indeed one of our members has broadcast on BBC radio 4.
However, we are a very "down to earth" group and welcome anyone with an interest in writing or who has a wish to write.

Since the closure of the Robin Woods Centre we now meet every Thursday morning at NORTON COMMUNITY CENTRE, Kempton Way, Norton DY8 3AP between 10.30am - 12.30.
